The Ladies behind Believe and Faith

Teandria Sanford-Faith

 

Ms. Sanford, founder of Believe and Faith Transitional Housing, is the Faith portion of the name. She saw there was a need for transitional housing in the DFW metro-plex. Teandria realized that there was a need to help and provide housing to people such as foster care children, single parents, domestic violence victims, etc.  When she presented her idea to her sister, D'Amber, the name Believe and Faith was developed due to a true sisterhood bond the two share as siblings. 

 

Teandria attended school for social work and received  a certification in Substance Abuse Counseling. She then attended Bethel University in Chattanooga, TN of which she has obtain her Bachelors of Science Degree for Organizational Leadership and Master Business Administration for Human Resource Management. After receiving her Master's, she plans on furthering her education in Business Management to receive her Doctrine. 

 

Ms. Sanford is striving to meet the needs of the clients and to help the to move forward with confidence knowing that there is a better way of living. With her loving support, she wants to provide a combination of a supportive services to help the clients transition into the world. 

 

 

D'Amber Barnes-Believe

 

Mrs. Barnes is the younger sister of the founder and also the Believe portion of the name.  Her motto "Believe in yourself, if you don't, then who will." This is how she derived at the name Believe. She has always had the notion  to help others and had no idea how until her sister presented her idea about a transitional housing. 

 

D'Amber graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelors in Social Work. She is a graduate of Keller Graduate School of Management with a Masters Degree in Education with a concentration in Curriculum Leadership.  D'Amber also is also a certified event and wedding planner as well as a Certified Grant Proposal Writer. She has experience working will people on  the medical and educational levels.

 

Starting and working with a non-profit, alongside her big sister, is the greatest opportunity to share her gift of helping others. She is excited to see how Believe and Faith will flourish. D'Amber has realized that her purpose in life is to help those in need.
